The Geleentheid Trust is a charitable organisation that awards scholarships to talented young people from the Stellenbosch area who can’t afford to attend their high school of choice. We’re currently supporting ten scholars.
A group of friends making a difference
The Geleentheid Trust was founded in 2008
by Michiel le Roux and Emile van Biljon. The idea originated from a late night
conversation over a few beers and became reality soon after. What started with
a bunch of friends giving something back has grown into a sizeable
organisation.
Geleentheid Trust aims to give kids from poor communities the same sort of
opportunities that its donors had when growing up.
Stellenbosch-based School Scholarships
We are currently sponsoring 10 learners: 1 at Paul Roos, 4 at Rhenish Girl's High,
2 at Bloemhof School for Girls and 3 at Stellenbosch Highschool.

Funding
We’re funded by monthly debit order contributions of typically between R150 and R300 from our members. At R300 per month, nine members can fund one scholarship. Currently around 50 members support the Geleentheid Trust. To donate click here.
